This is a long-haired variety and as any owner of this type will explain, they require regular and consistent grooming.   Guinea pigs of this colouring are distinguished by their patchwork giner, black and white markings.

This type sports an unusual rosette-shaped (circular) parting in it’s coat, which makes up the crest.   Possibly more common than their long-haired counterparts, these cavies have sleek, soft and short fur.

It most closely resembles the wild guinea pigs of South America; unusually, each piece of hair is made up of more than one colour.   This refers to any guinea pig with a coat displaying three colours.
